Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, M) but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 is used as a marker for determining the growth fraction of cell populations and has prognostic value in cancer studies.
SolA15 also reacts with human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
- Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00)
- Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test
- A test = antibody amount for 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)
- Optimize titration for best performance
Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; tandem dye sensitive to photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C using IC Fixation Buffer (#00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (#00-5333).
Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm (Blue, Green, Yellow-Green Laser).
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin through its FHA domain and shows cell cycle-dependent localization. Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells and increases through mitosis. It is valuable in evaluating tumor growth rates and prognosis, correlating with tumor grade in neoplastic tissues.
