K-RAS (GTPase KRas)는 Ras oncogene family에 속하며, GDP/GTP 결합 및 고유의 GTPase 활성을 가집니다. 세포 증식 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, ZNF304 의존적 방식으로 종양 억제 유전자의 전사적 침묵을 유도하여 대장암 세포에서 종양 발생을 촉진할 수 있습니다. 해당 유전자의 돌연변이는 급성 골수성 백혈병, 소아 골수단핵구성 백혈병, Noonan 증후군, 위암 및 cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome 2와 관련이 있습니다.
