Target Information
SYT11 is a member of the synaptotagmin gene family and encodes a calcium sensor protein involved in calcium-dependent regulation of membrane trafficking in synaptic transmission. It is also a substrate for ubiquitin-E3-ligase parkin. Previously referred to as synaptotagmin XII, it was renamed synaptotagmin XI to align with mouse and rat nomenclature.
