Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77776 was sufficient for detection of ATG9B in 15 µg of Human HeLa cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 100 kDa.
Target Information
Autophagy is a process of bulk degradation of cellular proteins through an autophagosomic-lysosomal pathway, essential for normal growth control and may be defective in tumor cells. It is involved in preserving cellular nutrients under starvation and the turnover of cytosolic components. This process is negatively regulated by TOR (Target of rapamycin) through phosphorylation of autophagy protein APG1.
ATG9B plays a role in autophagy and is highly expressed in placenta and pituitary gland.
