Target Information
Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting, or purification of their specified targets.
Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility, enabling use in various detection systems such as HRP, AP, and fluorescence.
They also enhance sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and modification (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to produce highly specific reagents.
