SAGA (Spt-Ada-Gcn5 histone acetyltransferase complex)는 히스톤 아세틸화 효소 복합체로, 촉매 서브유닛인 Gcn5p를 포함합니다. 이 복합체는 기본 전사 인자인 TFIID와 기능적으로 중첩되며, housekeeping 유전자와 stress response 유전자 그룹의 전사 조절에 관여합니다. SAGA는 Ada 단백질군(5종), TBP 관련 단백질군(4종), TAF 단백질군(5종, TFIID에도 포함), 기타 단백질군(6종 이상)으로 구성된 대형 복합체입니다. Gcn5p는 히스톤 아세틸화 활성을 가지며, budding yeast에서 439개의 아미노산으로 구성됩니다.
