Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1)는 B7 패밀리의 구성원으로, PD-1 수용체에 결합하여 T-cell receptor (TCR) 신호를 음성 조절합니다. PD-L1은 TCR 매개 증식 및 사이토카인 생성을 감소시키는 것으로 보고되었으며, 다양한 종양 세포에서 높은 발현을 보이고 IFN-γ 자극에 의해 추가적으로 발현이 증가할 수 있습니다. 따라서 PD-L1은 종양의 면역 회피 메커니즘에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
