This antibody was raised against a recombinant fragment of the ITIH5 protein with a molecular weight of approximately 25 kDa.
Target Information
The ITIH5 gene encodes a heavy chain component of the inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor (ITI) family. ITI proteins contribute to extracellular matrix stabilization and inhibit tumor metastasis. They are plasma serine protease inhibitors composed of a light chain and multiple heavy chains. ITIH5 is suggested to act as a tumor suppressor in breast and thyroid cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
