Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a multi-membrane spanning protein containing a RING-H2 finger. It is located in the endoplasmic reticulum and has ubiquitin ligase activity.
This gene is associated with hereditary renal and non-medullary thyroid cancer due to translocation.
Studies in Drosophila suggest interactions with tumor suppressor protein VHL and COPS5/JAB1, which is involved in degradation of CDKN1B/P27KIP.
