Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse EphB6 and EphA3 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with EphA2, EphA4, EphA6, EphA7, EphA8, EphB2, and EphB3.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
EPHB4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play critical roles in:
- Nervous system development
- Angiogenesis
- Neural synapse formation and maturation
Ephrins are divided into two classes:
- Ephrin-A (EFNA): Anchored to the membrane via a GPI linkage
- Ephrin-B (EFNB): Transmembrane proteins
Eph receptors are categorized based on extracellular domain similarity and ligand affinity. EphB4 binds ephrin-B2 and is essential for vascular development.
