Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody 20Raj1 recognizes the human Ki-67 protein. Two isoforms (345 and 395 kDa) are expressed in dividing cells. Ki-67 is detectable during active cell cycle phases (G1, S, G2, M) but absent in resting cells (G0). It localizes to the nucleus during interphase and associates with chromosomes during mitosis, interacting with heterochromatin-bound proteins such as CBX3.
This antibody also recognizes canine Ki-67.
Applications include intracellular staining, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin via its FHA domain. Ki-67 is used as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells and increases through mitosis. It helps determine the growth fraction in neoplasms, correlating with tumor grade and prognosis. Commonly used as a neuronal marker for cell cycling and proliferation.
