Human primary hepatocytes (hphep) are an invaluable tool for academic and pharmaceutical laboratories studying liver disease pathology or for use in drug development pipelines. To assess disease models and hepatocyte toxicity, robust and predictive hphep cell cultures are required. However, conventional culture media limit the utility of primary hepatocytes because they lose function and viability within a week, and daily feedings are required to maintain hphep cultures.

Product Overview

Cellartis Power Primary HEP Medium is specially formulated to enable long-term maintenance of cryopreserved plateable hphep in conventional 2D cultures. Cells remain viable and maintain functionality for up to four weeks. This medium simplifies hepatocyte culture with a weekend-free feeding schedule.
