Chromodomain Y (CDYL)은 주로 고환에서 발현되는 영장류 특이 Y-염색체 유전자군으로, 불임과 관련이 있습니다. Y-연관 유전자는 고환 특이적으로 발현되지만, 이 자가유전자는 전신적으로 발현됩니다. 해당 유전자군은 원래 유전자의 mRNA가 역전사되어 Y 염색체로 전이된 후 증폭된 결과로 형성되었습니다. 이 유전자 초군이 암호화하는 단백질은 크로모도메인(염색질 결합 및 유전자 억제에 관련)과 히스톤 아세틸화에 관여하는 것으로 알려진 촉매 도메인을 포함합니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 다양한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
