Target Information
HspBP1 is an Hsp70-interacting protein first isolated from a human heart cDNA library using the yeast two-hybrid system.
The ATPase domain of Hsp70 binds HspBP1 and upon binding inhibits Hsp70 chaperone activity.
HspBP1 promotes nucleotide dissociation from Hsc70 and can alter the conformation of the Hsp70 ATPase domain.
Thus, HspBP1 regulates Hsp70 activity that requires ATPase.
