Product Specific Information

Description:
This 9E2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD335 (NKp46), a member of the natural cytotoxicity receptor family expressed on NK cells. CD335 plays a key role in activating and expanding resting NK cells through interactions with dendritic cells, contributing to the elimination of tumor and virus-infected cells (e.g., influenza). It also interacts with pancreatic beta cells during the development of type I diabetes.

The 9E2 antibody has been reported to induce cytotoxicity.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be optimized (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.

Target Information

NKp46 (CD335, NCR1) is a cytotoxicity-activating receptor that enhances the ability of activated natural killer (NK) cells to mediate tumor cell lysis. NKp46 consists of two Ig-like domains and is structurally related to leukocyte immunoglobulin-like (LIR) and killer inhibitory receptors (KIR).
