Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also known as B7-H1) is a member of the B7 family.
Its receptor, programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling.
Upon binding PD-1, PD-L1 can decrease TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production.
PD-L1 is abundantly expressed on many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-gamma stimulation.
Thus, PD-L1 may play a critical role in tumor immune evasion.
