• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein comprising about one-half of blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein with a molecular weight of approximately 65,000. It is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which undergoes N-terminal peptide removal before release from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The resulting proalbumin is cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce secreted albumin.
