Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein comprising about one-half of blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein (~65 kDa) synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin. The N-terminal peptide is removed before release from the rough endoplasmic reticulum, producing proalbumin, which is then cleaved in the Golgi to yield secreted albumin.
