Product Specific Information

This product is a monoclonal mouse IgG2a kappa antibody used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm; suitable for cytometers with a 355 nm UV laser.
• Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
• Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54).
• Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product #00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.
• Excitation / Emission / Laser: 350 nm / 615 nm / Ultraviolet Laser

Target Information

Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the second most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in adaptive immunity, including:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
• Regulation of immune responses (T cell activation, B cell inhibition)

Used widely in research and diagnostics such as ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and in therapeutic applications like immunotherapy and vaccine development.
