Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs)는 RAS 초가족에 속하는 저분자량 GTP 결합 단백질입니다. 예측된 182-아미노산 ARL3 단백질은 rat ARL3와 97%, human ARF1과 43%의 아미노산 서열 동일성을 보입니다. ARL3는 N-myristoylation 부위인 glycine(2번 위치)을 가지며, RAS 계열의 다른 단백질에 존재하는 C말단 근처 cysteine 잔기를 결여합니다. Northern blot 분석 결과, 대부분의 조직에서 1 kb 및 5.5 kb 전사체가 검출되었으며, 심장과 폐에서 높은 발현을 보였습니다. 면역블롯 분석에서는 인간 종양 세포주에서 ARL3가 검출되었으나 정상 설치류 세포에서는 검출되지 않았습니다. ARL3는 GTP를 결합하지만 cholera toxin 의존적 ADP-ribosylation 활성은 없으며, ARF-like 단백질로 분류됩니다.
