For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

The G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily comprises an estimated 600–1,000 members and represents the largest known class of molecular targets with therapeutic potential.
GPR18 is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor expressed at high levels in the testis, small intestine, and immune-related cells such as lymphocytes, thymus, and spleen.
It acts as a receptor for endogenous lipid neurotransmitters, some of which also interact with cannabinoid receptors.

Known GPR18 agonists or partial agonists include:
N-Arachidonoylglycine, Abnormal cannabidiol, O-1602, AM-251, Cannabidiol, delta 9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, N-arachidonoyl ethanolamine, and Arachidonylcyclopropylamide.
Antagonists include synthetic cannabidiol-related compounds CID-85469571 and O-1918.
