Description:
The W6/32 monoclonal antibody reacts with human MHC class I (HLA-A, B, C). These antigens, associated with beta 2-microglobulin, are expressed by all human nucleated cells and play a central role in cell-mediated immune response and tumor surveillance.
W6/32 mAb recognizes a non-polymorphic epitope shared among HLA-A, B, and C loci, immunoprecipitating both 43 kDa and 11–12 kDa chains. Cross-reactivity is observed in baboon, rhesus, and cynomolgus monkey.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use ≤0.125 µg/test (in 100 µL volume). Cell number should be optimized (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration recommended for best assay performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

HLA-class I MHC antigens are intrinsic membrane glycoproteins expressed on nucleated cells, noncovalently associated with beta2 microglobulin. They carry foreign determinants recognized by cytotoxic T cells, crucial for antiviral and antitumor defense.
Human HLA-class I antigens include HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-C molecules.
HLA and MHC antibodies are vital in Immunopeptidomics, enabling identification and characterization of neoantigens via LC-MS/MS.
