Target Information
Xeroderma pigmentosum type G (XPG)은 햇빛에 대한 극도의 민감성을 보이는 인간 유전 질환으로, XPG 단백질은 FEN-1 구조 특이적 DNA 복구 엔도뉴클레아제 계열의 효소이다. 이 효소는 자외선(UV)에 의해 유도된 DNA 손상의 복구에 필수적이며, 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구 과정에서 3' 절단을 담당한다. XPG는 DNA 버블 구조를 절단하며, PCNA 결합 활성은 981–1009 아미노산 영역에 위치한다. Arg992은 PCNA 결합에 중요한 보존된 아르기닌 잔기이다. 또한 XPG는 XPA 및 RPA와 직접적으로 상호작용한다.
