- Application Note: For IHC, epitope retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Target Information
SmcHD1 is required for maintenance of X inactivation in females and for hypermethylation of CpG islands associated with the inactive X chromosome. It is involved in a pathway that mediates the methylation of a subset of CpG islands slowly and requires the de novo methyltransferase DNMT3B. SmcHD1 is also required for DUX4 silencing in somatic cells.
