Product Specific Information
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using a sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for paraffin sections.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- This clone has been reported to block mouse APN enzyme activity.
Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types.
It functions as a metalloprotease, catalyzing removal of neutral amino acids from small peptides, thereby modulating bioactive peptide activity.
CD13 is involved in extracellular matrix degradation, antigen processing, and signal transduction, and plays roles in inflammation, intercellular contact, cell motility, and vascularization.
It is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, and its expression correlates with poor prognosis in certain carcinomas.
Additionally, CD13 acts as an aminopeptidase enzyme and serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
