EGFR은 막관통 수용체로서 EGF, TGF-α 등의 리간드 결합 시 이량체화 및 세포질 도메인 내 티로신 잔기 자가 인산화를 유도합니다.
두경부, 뇌, 방광, 위, 유방, 폐, 자궁내막, 자궁경부, 외음부, 난소, 식도, 위 등 다양한 암 조직에서 과발현이 관찰됩니다.
