세포 성장의 음성 조절자로 작용하며, 혈관내피성장인자(VEGF)의 스플라이스 부위 선택에 관여합니다.
CD44 pre-mRNA의 엑손 포함을 농도 의존적으로 증가시키며, 이는 퓨린이 풍부한 엑손 인핸서에 직접 결합함으로써 이루어집니다.
RNA 결합 능력은 티로신 키나아제 PTK6에 의해 하향 조절됩니다. 또한 HIV-1 유전자 발현의 전사 후 조절에도 관여합니다.
