For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This intronless gene encodes a 70 kDa heat shock protein belonging to the heat shock protein 70 family.
It stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation, assists in folding newly translated proteins in the cytosol and organelles, and participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway via interaction with AU-rich element RNA-binding protein 1.
The gene resides in the MHC class III region, clustered with two related genes encoding similar proteins.
