Target Information
EXOSC5는 RNA exosome complex의 비촉매 구성요소로, 3'→5' exoribonuclease 활성을 가지며 RNA 처리 및 분해에 관여합니다.
핵 내에서는 rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA 등의 안정적 RNA 성숙, 비암호화 RNA 제거, PROMPTs 및 결함 있는 mRNA 제거를 담당합니다.
세포질에서는 일반적인 mRNA turnover 및 AU-rich element(ARE)를 포함한 불안정 mRNA의 분해에 관여하며, 히스톤 mRNA 분해에도 관련됩니다.
Exo-9 복합체는 RNA 결합 및 리보뉴클레이즈 활성화에 중요한 역할을 하며, 촉매 서브유닛 및 보조 단백질 결합을 위한 스캐폴드로 작용합니다.
