Product Specific Information
Reconstitution:
25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at −20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, store small aliquots at −20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
The P2X3 receptor belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP and functions as a ligand-gated ion channel.
It may transduce ATP-evoked nociceptor activation. Mouse studies suggest involvement in peripheral pain responses and urinary bladder volume reflex control.
Selective antagonists for this receptor may have therapeutic potential in pain relief and urinary storage disorders.
