Target Information
IRF3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존적 면역 반응의 주요 전사 조절 인자입니다.
DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천적 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, IFN-alpha 및 IFN-beta 유전자와 IFN-stimulated gene(ISG)의 전사를 조절합니다.
IRF3는 감염되지 않은 세포의 세포질에 비활성 형태로 존재하다가 바이러스 감염이나 이중가닥 RNA 자극 후 인산화되어 핵으로 이동하며, CREB binding protein과 결합해 dsRNA-activated factor 1 (DRAF1) 복합체를 형성하여 IFN 및 ISG 유전자 전사를 활성화합니다.
이 유전자 변이는 급성 감염 유발성 뇌병증(herpes-specific encephalopathy)과 관련될 수 있습니다.
