This affinity purified antibody is directed against the FLAG epitope tag and is useful for detecting FLAG-tagged proteins in various assays. It recognizes the FLAG epitope (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the N- or C-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.

Target Information

DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is a short peptide sequence (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification using anti-FLAG antibodies. Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry research for protein-protein interaction, expression, and localization studies. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein function. FLAG™ is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
