Target Information
Connexin 40 (Cx40)는 갭 접합 단백질(connexin family)에 속하며, 췌장, 신장, 골격근, 간, 태반 및 심장에서 발현됩니다. 특히 혈관 내피세포와 심장(심방 근육 및 His-Purkinje 전도계)에 풍부하게 존재합니다. 심장에는 Cx37, Cx43, Cx45 등 다른 커넥신도 발현되며, Cx40과 Cx43은 심혈관계 세포에서 자주 공동 위치하며 이종 갭 접합 채널 형성에 관여합니다.
