Product Specific Information

This 2F1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Killer cell Lectin-like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as Mast cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA).
KLRG1 is a homodimer of glycosylated 30–38 kDa subunits and contains a cytoplasmic motif similar to ITIM. This antigen is expressed on approximately one-third of mouse NK cells and a subset of T cells.
MHC class I molecules regulate KLRG1 via interactions with Ly49 molecules and SHP-1 signaling.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

Super Bright 702 is a tandem dye excited by 405 nm violet laser and emits at 702 nm. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when using multiple Super Bright conjugates to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal signal loss.

Target Information

KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag) is a homodimeric inhibitory receptor expressed on NK cells and certain T cells.
It contains ITIM motifs that interact with SH2 domains of phosphatases such as SHP-1, modulating immune responses and cytotoxic activity against tumor or virus-infected cells.
