Product Specific Information
The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b, a 165–170 kDa integrin alphaM. CD11b associates with CD18 to form the αMβ2 integrin (Mac-1), binding to CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen.
Mac-1 is expressed by macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and B-1 cells. The M1/70 clone also cross-reacts with human CD11b, enabling detection on human monocytes, granulocytes, and NK cells.
CD11b participates in adhesive cell interactions via ligand binding.

Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes, ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize by titration for best performance.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that forms a heterodimer with CD18 (integrin beta-2), known as Mac-1 or CR3.
It is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
CD11b/CD18 binds ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, mediating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
Expression varies across tissues and increases during monocyte maturation.
Associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility.
