Target Information
ELL is an elongation factor component of the super elongation complex (SEC), which enhances the catalytic rate of RNA polymerase II transcription by suppressing transient pausing along DNA. It is also part of the little elongation complex (LEC), regulating small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene transcription by RNA polymerase II and III. ELL stabilizes RNA polymerase II recruitment and initiation, facilitating early elongation and pre-initiation complex stability. [UniProt]
