- Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The antigen is homologous in rat and shares 95% identity with mouse sequence.
- Specificity: Parkin.
Target Information
The precise function of the Parkin gene is unknown; however, the encoded protein is part of a multiprotein E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates proteasomal degradation of substrate proteins.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Parkinson disease and autosomal recessive juvenile Parkinson disease.
Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but currently lack transcript support.
