This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to prevent contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and the best clones are selected for production.

Target Information
BID is a death agonist that heterodimerizes with either agonist BAX or antagonist BCL2. It is a member of the BCL-2 family of cell death regulators and mediates mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8). CASP8 cleaves BID, and the C-terminal fragment translocates to mitochondria, triggering cytochrome c release and apoptosis.
BID typically exists in an inactive cytosolic form and becomes activated by caspase 8 upon TNF-alpha or Fas ligand stimulation. The cleaved p15 fragment of BID translocates to mitochondria and initiates apoptosis, serving as a molecular link between caspase 8 activation and mitochondrial death pathways.
