This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Target Information
Bone Morphogenic Proteins (BMPs) are members of the TGF-beta superfamily involved in bone and cartilage formation. Mature BMPs are 30–38 kDa proteins with a TGF-beta-like cysteine knot structure. BMPs stimulate production of bone matrix proteins, influence stromal and osteoclast cell proliferation, and play roles in development, apoptosis, and morphogenesis. They function via binding to type II receptors, which recruit type I receptors to activate the Smad signaling pathway.
