Product Specific Information
This CF1D12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD52, a cell surface glycoprotein expressed in immune and reproductive systems. CF1D12 recognizes the carbohydrate region of CD52 rather than the protein core. Tissue-specific glycan modifications may affect epitope recognition. For example, CF1D12 detects human sperm glycoforms of CD52 by western blot but not by flow cytometry.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Cell count may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Fluorochrome information:
Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited with a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 600 nm. Recommended detection filter: 610/20 bandpass. Ensure instrument compatibility.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
Light sensitivity: Protect from light to avoid photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on signal performance.

Target Information
CD52 (also known as CAMPATH-1 antigen) is a glycoprotein expressed on T and B lymphocytes, NK cells, and monocytes. It regulates immune responses and is a target in therapeutic research for multiple sclerosis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and autoimmune diseases. CD52 is also the molecular target of alemtuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used for immune cell depletion therapies.
