For larger sizes, reduce freeze/thaw cycles by preparing aliquots (not below 20 µL).

Target Information

ROCK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cell differentiation and migration.
The Rho/ROCK pathway is involved in the progression of various human cancers.
ROCK1 is identified as a Caspase-3 substrate and contributes to myosin light chain (MLC) activation through:

  • Direct phosphorylation of MLC
  • Phosphorylation of MLC phosphatase, leading to inhibition

During apoptosis, ROCK1 is cleaved by caspase-3, removing its inhibitory domain and resulting in constitutive kinase activity.
This cleavage induces MLC phosphorylation and membrane blebbing, key events in apoptotic execution.
