Target Information
HCN4 is a member of the hyperpolarization-activated and cyclic-nucleotide-gated (HCN) channel family. HCN currents are associated with pacemaker activity in the heart and brain, resting potential regulation, and neuronal plasticity. HCN4 channels also function as receptors for sour taste and are linked to pacemaker potential generation in the sinoatrial node.
