Target Information
TTK is a serine/threonine kinase closely related to SPK1, PIM1, and CDC2 kinases. It is a dual-specificity kinase capable of phosphorylating tyrosine residues. The enzyme consists of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit that associates with various regulatory subunits. The constant regulatory subunit A acts as a scaffold coordinating the assembly of the catalytic and variable regulatory B subunits. TTK encodes an alpha isoform of the constant regulatory subunit A. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
