Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the BLNK gene on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP-65, it acts as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. Tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk kinase enables BLNK to serve as a platform for interaction with signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2. Deficiency of BLNK can lead to improper B cell development.
