Target Information

MAP4K3 (GLK)는 STE20 계열의 serine/threonine protein kinase로, N-terminal 촉매 도메인과 C-terminal 조절 도메인을 포함함.
이 단백질은 MEKK1 상류에서 작용하며, UV 및 TNF-α 자극에 의해 활성화되어 JNK 신호전달 경로를 유도함.
또한 TCR 신호전달 중 PKC-T를 직접 활성화할 수 있으며, 전신홍반루푸스(SLE) 환자의 T세포에서 MAP4K3의 발현 및 활성 증가가 보고됨.
MAP4K3는 PUMA, BAD, BIM의 발현 조절을 통해 BAX 활성화를 유도하는 pro-apoptotic kinase로 기능함.
이 단백질은 MEKK1 상류에서 작용하며, 과거 RAB8-interacting protein-like 1 (RAB8IPL1)로 불렸으나 현재는 MAP4K3로 명명됨.
