Target Information
NPM1 (Nucleophosmin 1, B23, nutramin, NO38)은 리보솜 조립 및 수송, 세포핵/세포질 간 이동, DNA polymerase α 활성 조절, 중심체 복제, p53 조절 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여하는 인산화 단백질입니다.
NPM1은 핵, 세포질, 핵소체를 오가며 히스톤의 샤페론 역할을 수행하고, 단백질 응집 방지 및 효소 보호, 변성 단백질의 재접힘을 돕습니다.
또한 NPM1은 CDK2/cyclin E의 기질로 작용하며, 종양 관련 융합 단백질(NPM-ALK, NPM-RAR, NPM-MLF1)의 형성에 관여합니다.
NPM1 단백질의 기능 이상은 급성 골수성 백혈병(AML) 및 림프종성 구진증과 같은 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
