Target Information
Zika virus (ZIKV), a member of the Flaviviridae family, has a single positive-sense RNA genome initially translated as a single polyprotein, which is post-translationally cleaved into structural proteins (C, PrM/M, E) and nonstructural proteins (NS1–NS5). The glycosylated NS1 forms a homodimer inside cells, essential for viral replication, and later secreted as a hexameric lipoprotein particle aiding immune evasion and pathogenesis by interacting with host immune components.
