Target Information
ErbB3 (c-erbB-3/HER-3)는 type I 성장인자 수용체 패밀리에 속하며 heregulin 계열의 리간드와 결합합니다.
이 단백질은 전립선, 방광, 유방, 위, 췌장 및 대장 등 다양한 종양에서 과발현됩니다.
Heregulin과 EGF는 c-erbB-3의 티로신 인산화를 서로 다른 정도로 유도합니다.
ErbB3 유전자는 인간 염색체 12의 장완(12q13)에 위치하며, 6.2 kb mRNA로 전사되어 160/180 kDa 당단백질로 번역됩니다.
이 유전자는 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 막관통 수용체 티로신 키나아제를 암호화하며, 다른 EGF 수용체 패밀리 구성원과 이합체를 형성하여 세포 증식 및 분화 경로를 활성화합니다.
다양한 전사적 스플라이스 변이체가 보고되었으며, 일부 변이체는 세포 외로 분비되어 막 결합형의 활성을 조절합니다.
추가 변이체들도 보고되었으나 아직 충분히 특성화되지 않았습니다.
