Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody 7E9 recognizes mouse complement receptors type 1 (CR1) and 2 (CR2). The antibody does not inhibit rosette formation between 2PK3 cells and Crd-coated SRBC indicator cells.
Target Information
CD21 (Complement Receptor 2, CR2)
CD21 binds C3 complement fragments and plays key roles in immune complex uptake, memory B cell survival, and humoral immune response development. It also acts as a receptor for Epstein-Barr virus and is involved in prion targeting to follicular dendritic cells.
CD35 (Complement Receptor 1, CR1)
CD35 encodes a membrane glycoprotein expressed on peripheral blood cells, glomerular podocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It serves as a receptor for complement components C3b and C4b, regulating complement cascade activity. Variations in this protein form the basis of the Knops blood group system.
