Description:
The TLD-3A12 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD31 (PECAM-1, gpIIa), a 130-kDa surface protein highly expressed on endothelial cells and at lower levels on leukocytes and platelets. CD31 mediates homotypic interactions important in adhesion, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and signal transduction.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.25 µg per test (defined as staining a 100 µL cell sample). Cell number may range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Optimal titration is recommended.
Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in:

- 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54)
Store up to 3 days at 4°C in dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be validated empirically.

CD31 (PECAM-1):
An inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through ITIM-mediated phosphorylation, providing docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases. Expressed throughout the vascular system, mainly at intercellular junctions. The N-terminal Ig-like domain enables homophilic binding crucial for cell-cell interactions.
